Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be keen on Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye with recent reports indicating that the Blues boss has asked for scouting reports on the Ghanaian international.
The forward was signed by Conte at Juventus back in 2012, but the youngster was sent on loan to Elche and Sassuolo during his two years with the Bianconeri.
The 24 year old made the loan switch to Red Star back in January, before making the move permanent in the summer. Since arriving in Belgrade he has scored an impressive 25 goals; eight of which have come in this season’s Europa League.
Boakye will face Arsenal in two group stage matches over the next month, and Conte has reportedly asked for a scout to be present for both games to assess how far the striker has progressed since he managed him earlier in his career.
