Chelsea could be offered the chance to sign long term target Antonio Candreva in the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.com.
The 30 year old has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for a number of months, but Inter have been reluctant to sell as he was seen as an integral member of the first team squad.
The Italian international has however struggled in the opening games of the season, and he was booed off when he was substituted after an hour against Genoa on Sunday.
Candreva has started every league match for Inter so far this season, but he has provided just one solitary assist, and no goals in six games. Whether Chelsea are still interested in Candreva, it is not known. It was believed that the winger was being lined up to play right wing back and provide competition for Victor Moses, but the Blues signed Davide Zappacosta from Torino instead on deadline day.
