Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun will travel to the UK today in order to negotiate a loan deal with Chelsea for either Kenedy or Baba Rahman, according to Takvim.
The Turkish transfer window closes on September 8th, and Galatasaray, who have been actively pursuing the Chelsea pair for a number of weeks, want at least one of them on a season long loan.
The likelier to leave out of the two is Kenedy. The Brazilian has been on the bench for the first three league matches of the season, but the left back has been tipped to depart Stamford Bridge after being sent home from the club’s pre-season tour of China following comments on social media.
Rahman on the other hand has only just returned to training after nine months out with a serious knee injury. Schalke were reportedly interested in signing the Ghanaian international on loan for a second season in a row but it was agreed that the 23 year old needed to continue his injury rehabilitation at Chelsea.
