Fenerbahce are trying to land Chelsea striker Diego Costa on a one year loan deal, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish publication report that the Super Lig club are in discussions with Costa’s manager Richard Cardoso, who will act as a go between the player, Chelsea and Fenerbahce.
Talks on Wednesday are believed to have not gone well however, but more discussions are said to have taken place between the Turkish club and Costa’s representative today.
The transfer window in Turkey closes tomorrow so there is time for a deal to go ahead, but it is unlikely a season long loan will be agreed to by Costa, who has his sights set firmly on moving back to Atletico Madrid in January.
The Spanish club’s transfer ban will have been lifted once the next window opens, and Atletico have been in lengthy negotiations with Chelsea over signing the forward, but so far, they have failed to agree a transfer fee for the player.
