Sources close to Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller have told the Sun that the German international is considering leaving the Bundesliga side next summer.
The newspaper says that Manchester United are the front runners for the 28 year old but German publication SportBild reported last week that Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all also been monitoring Muller’s situation at Bayern.
The forward has had a fractious relationship with manager Carlo Ancelotti since the Italian arrived last summer. He was still a regular in the team throughout last campaign, but the arrival of James Rodriguez on loan from Real Madrid has increased speculation about his future at the Allianz Arena.
Muller has started two of the club’s four matches this season, but he was a substitute for Bayern’s 3-0 win over Andelecht on Wednesday night, and he hasn’t finished the full 90 minutes so far this campaign.
Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly being lined up to replace Ancelotti next summer so Muller may still stay at Bayern, but the Sun say the player may move on regardless as he seeks a “new challenge.”
