Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has praised Antonio Conte for helping to improve his game in a short space of time.

The Italian arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, guiding the Blues to the Premier League league in his first season with Hazard an instrumental figure in the title success, and the Belgian is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying that Conte’s tactical acumen has proved invaluable in developing his game over the past year.

“Even after a week I think I had progressed with him. There are a lot of tactics.”

Hazard has yet to start a match for Chelsea this season after picking up an ankle injury back in June, but he is now close to match fitness, and could start tomorrow’s game against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Chelsea manager Conte is likely to pick a line up with a number of young players including Charly Musonda and Jake Clarke-Salter. It will be interesting to see whether any catch the eye tomorrow night.
