Real Madrid have turned their attentions away from Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard, according to Diario Gol.
The Spanish publication reports that Real president Florentino Perez’s number one summer target is Juventus’s Paulo Dybala, rather than either Hazard or Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
The main reason for Real’s change in targets is believed to be because Juve are the most willing club to sell. Atletico would be extremely reluctant to sell Griezmann to their city rivals while Chelsea are currently trying to secure Hazard to a lucrative long term contract.
Furthermore, at 23 years of age, Dybala is the youngest of the three and manager Zinedine Zidane is keen to assemble a young team that can challenge for honours on all fronts for years to come, playing alongside the likes of Marco Asensio, Isco and others.
The Argentinian international was heavily linked with Barcelona in the summer, to join up with compatriot Lionel Messi, but Barca’s interest shifted to Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho instead.
