Chelsea are keeping an eye on Uruguay Under 18 captain Sebastian Caceres, according to the Sun.

The centre back is also being monitored by Liverpool, with both clubs reportedly having sent out scouts to South America to watch the centre back. Caceres actually plays for a team called Liverpool in Uruguay’s capital Montevideo, having broken into the top division club’s first team squad at the start of the season.

The teenager is 6 foot tall, and is already believed to be a commanding presence in the backline. His impressive performances at youth level for both club and country have no doubt sparked the interest of a number of European clubs.

The Sun report Barcelona are monitoring the teenager, and although Barca would normally have an advantage over Premier League teams due to work permit issues, the 18 year old will have no problems getting a visa to play in the UK as he already has a Spanish passport.
