Tottenham have joined Chelsea and Manchester United in pursuing Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan publication report that Spurs’s interest has been known since last Tuesday with Roberto seemingly unsettled at the Camp Nou after the signing of ex Tottenham midfielder Paulinho from Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.

Barca’s sporting director Robert Fernandez has revealed he has held talks with the 25 year old about his future and has tried to reassure the player that he is an integral member of the first team squad.

The midfielder is said to be keen to stay at the La Liga side but the lack of game time may force him to seek a move elsewhere. The Spanish international has a release clause of €40m which any team can trigger.

In addition to the Premier League teams, there is also interest from Italy with both Juventus and AC Milan looking to sign Roberto.
