The agent of Porto left back Alex Telles has confirmed there have been contacts with a number of clubs but he expects the Brazilian to remain in Portugal for the forthcoming season.

Chelsea and Juventus have both been linked with the 24 year old this summer. In the Blues’ case, it was reported that Telles was a backup option if they couldn’t land Alex Sandro while Juve’s interest was predicated on Sandro leaving for Chelsea.

Speaking to O Jogo, Fernando Otto explained that there is no concrete offer for Telles to leave Porto, and that the player’s main ambition is to win a league title with his current team:

“There have been some contacts, but nothing concrete. Alex [Telles] just wants to leave FC Porto with a title. In football you can never give anything as guaranteed, because things change from one day to the next, but if it depends on Alex, it is to help the club to win this [the Portuguese] championship.”

Porto missed out the the league title to Benfica during Telles’s first season at the club. He made the switch to Portugal from Inter Milan in July 2016 for £6.5million. He has so far made 48 appearances for the Portuguese side, scoring one goal and providing 12 assists.
