Chelsea may consider a €30m (£27m) move for Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier, according to Le10 Sport.

After Dani Alves joined from Juventus, the Ivorian is now one of three first team right backs in the squad alongside Thomas Meunier, and it’s likely either the 24 year old or the Belgian will be leaving this summer in order to get more game time.

Reports in France have linked Manchester United with the full back but Sky Sports have reported that sources inside the club have told them that Aurier is not a target for the Red Devils this summer.

Chelsea are seeking competition for Victor Moses in the right wing back role, but the Blues have so far failed to land a signing for the position after both Alves and Danilo opted for other clubs.

One of the major obstacles in the way of Chelsea’s move for Aurier is his visa situation. The defender has a suspended two month jail sentence for assaulting a police officer and was denied entry into the UK when PSG faced Arsenal back in October. Le10 Sport however say the player is appealing the conviction and will hear the result sometime next week, after which a move to England could be rubber-stamped.
