Fenerbahce are seeking to pip Las Palmas, Cagliari, Newcastle United and Deportivo La Coruna to the signing of Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to Radio Marca (via Fotomac).

The Turkish club were linked with the forward earlier this summer, but the club’s signing of Roberto Soldado from Villarreal suggested that their interest had cooled on Remy. Turkish newspaper Fotomac however believe they are still looking for another striker with Napoli’s Duvan Zapata also being tracked as a possible target.

Remy has failed to play a single minute of competitive action under manager Antonio Conte, and after a difficult loan spell at Crystal Palace last season where he was plagued by injuries, the Frenchman has yet to find a new club.

Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that the Blues may consider terminating Remy’s contract in order for the 30 year old to leave the club. They say Las Palmas are the favourites for the player’s signature if the former French international is available on a free transfer.
