Inter Milan are keen to offload Antonio Candreva, as well as Stevan Jovetic and Marcelo Brozovic, in order to finance a move for AC Milan midfielder Suso, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Football-Italia.net).
La Gazzetta have already reported that despite the fact Nerazzurri manager Luciano Spalletti wants to keep Candreva, Financial Fair Play rules may force the Serie A side to sell the 30 year old in order to sign other players. The Italian paper also reports that Chelsea are prepared to pay €25million (£23m) for the winger.
Speaking this weekend about Candreva’s situation, Spalletti added fuel to the fire by effectively saying the club are waiting for a bid from Chelsea:
“My position is to keep him and the club agrees with me, for now he has not shown any other signals. We go forward calmly, then I don’t know what could happen tomorrow. As far as I can tell, Chelsea could try to do something. You are the ones who always anticipate these situations, so I should ask you.”
The Daily Mail say that Chelsea manager Antontio Conte is keen on Candreva due to his ability to play in a number of positions. He can play as a winger, as an attacking midfielder and as a wing back, and would add extra depth to the Premier League champions’ squad.
