Chelsea are pursuing a deal for Bayern Munich’s right back Rafinha, according to BILD.

Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned down a move to Stamford Bridge as he wants to play in central midfield rather than as a wing back. The setback follows Chelsea’s failed pursuit of two Brazilian full backs, in Juventus’s Dani Alves and Real Madrid’s Danilo, earlier this summer as they seek to provide competition for first choice right wing back Victor Moses.

Bayern’s Rafinha is another Brazilian, and he is currently backup to Germany international Joshua Kimmich at the Allianz Arena, but the German tabloid reports the Bundesliga champions would be reluctant to let the 31 year old leave this summer.

With just two days left in the transfer window, Bayern believe they would find it very hard to find a replacement for the full back before the deadline passes on Thursday night.
