Chelsea have a “real interest” in signing Ajax centre back Davinson Sanchez, according to De Telegraaf.
Tottenham are believed to be front runners for the Colombian international but they haven’t managed to agree a fee with the Eredivise side, who are holding out for their €50million asking price.
The drop in the value of the pound means that the 21 year old’s value will get more and more expensive for Chelsea and Spurs every day they delay their offer for the player.
The currency will be of no concern to Real Madrid who De Telegraaf report are preparing a bid for the defender. Whether they will meet Ajax’s demands, it remains to be seen.
Sanchez only signed from Atletico Nacional for £4.5m last summer but it seems as though the Dutch club are seeking a tenfold profit on their investment, despite the player only having one year of European football under his belt.
