Chelsea striker Loic Remy is poised to sign for La Liga club Las Palmas on a free transfer, according to AS.

The former French international will sign a two year contract with the Canary Islanders, after failing to make a single competitive appearance under manager Antonio Conte.

The 30 year old joined the Blues from Queens Park Rangers in 2014 for £10.5m but struggled for game time during his three year stay at Stamford Bridge.

He made 47 appearances for Chelsea during his first two seasons at the club, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists. After Conte’s arrival last summer though, he was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace.

Injuries and lack of match fitness meant he only managed eight games for the Eagles in the whole of last season, failing to score a single goal. He will be hoping his spell in Spain will be a more productive one for him
