Chelsea are one of four Premier League teams monitoring Julian Draxler’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.
Writing in a column for the Gambling Times, Bailey said sources in Paris had told him that the Blues, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all enquired about the attacking midfielder.
Draxler’s agent Roger Witterman revealed last week that the German international remains happy at the Ligue One club but the arrival of Neymar has prompted speculation that the 23 year old could leave with the Brazilian having taken his place in the starting eleven.
The former Schalke player only moved from Wolfsburg to France for £36m in January, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 25 appearances. Due to his participation in the Confederations Cup this summer though, he has made just one appearance for PSG so far this season, with Neymar taking up his favoured position on the left wing.
The formidable front three of the Brazilian, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria is likely to be manager Unai Emery’s preferred line up throughout the campaign, and Draxler may have to be satisfied with a place on the bench.
