Chelsea will offer to double Tottenham left back Danny Rose’s wages if he decides to leave the London club this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The 27 year old is currently on £65,000 a week, the newspaper reports, and the Blues have pledged to offer at least £120,000 a week if an agreement can be reached with Spurs.

Any deal does still look quite far off though. Tottenham are said to be unwilling to negotiate with Chelsea for Rose after already losing Kyle Walker to Manchester City this summer.

The Sun say Antonio Conte’s side will offer £50m for the player after the London derby between the two clubs on Sunday. Whether that happens we will have to wait and see. Hopes of signing Chelsea’s primary left back target Juventus’s Alex Sandro look to be fading with the Daily Mail reporting yesterday that their latest enquiry for the Brazilian has been rebuffed by the Bianconeri.
