AC Milan remain interested in signing Chelsea striker Diego Costa on a permanent transfer, but the player remains determined to sign for Atletico Madrid, according to the Evening Standard.
It was speculated that Milan could be open to signing the 28 year old on loan until January, when he could move permanently to Atletico once their transfer ban had been lifted, but it looks like the Serie A club are not considering that option.
Besiktas has been proposed as another possibility for a loan deal, according to Spanish publication AS. The major concern for Atletico is the fact he would be cup tied for Champions League matches when he moves to the La Liga side, if the Turkish club choose to play him in the group stages of the competition.
Costa meanwhile remains in Brazil on an extended vacation. He is still training by himself and is trying to build up his personal fitness in the event a move does go ahead.
