Monaco could be still open to selling full back Djibril Sidibe this summer, according to Transfermarketweb.

The French international signed a new five year contract last month, which seemingly put an end to speculation of the 25 year old leaving the Ligue One champions this summer. The website believes the capture of Jordan Amavi from Aston Villa could prompt Monaco into reconsidering a sale for Sidibe.

Chelsea have been linked with the Frenchman by the Evening Standard in recent weeks, although the Daily Telegraph and French media outlets say the Blues are focusing more heavily on PSG full back Serge Aurier as a potential signing to strengthen the right flank.

Aurier’s situation is complicated by a visa problem due to a criminal conviction for assault, and Chelsea will no doubt be looking at other potential options like Sidibe.

The defender made 47 appearances in all competitions for Monaco last season, scoring three goals and contributing eight assists.
