Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is only willing to let left back Kenedy leave the club once he has found a suitable replacement, Goal.com reports.
The Mirror had stated last week that the Brazilian had signed for Newcastle United on a season long loan, but that story was quickly refuted by his inclusion on the substitutes bench for the Blues’ match against Burnley on Saturday.
Chelsea currently have just Marcos Alonso fit and available who is comfortable playing the left wing back role, with Baba Rahman still recovering from a serious knee injury.
Kenedy could still join the Magpies before the end of the transfer window but only after Conte has managed to bring in some cover for Alonso. Juventus’s Alex Sandro is still the club’s top priority but the Sun reports that the Blues may offer £50m for Tottenham left back Danny Rose instead if a deal can’t be reached for the Brazilian international.
