Inter Milan have made a formal enquiry for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com).
The enquiry was strongly rebuffed by the Blues, the Italian newspaper reports, and the Premier League champions have informed the Serie A side there is no chance that the 21 year old will be loaned out again this season.
Christensen came on for Jeremie Boga following captain Gary Cahill’s red card in the first half of the club’s opening day defeat to Burnley, but he was later substituted by manager Antonio Conte in injury time for winger Charly Musonda.
The Danish international’s father told a TV station in Denmark last week that Conte had been extremely impressed by his son during pre-season training, He heard the Italian tell technical director Michael Emenalo:
“He’s even better live than on TV!”
Unless another centre back comes in before the end of the transfer window, it is highly unlikely that the centre back will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge.
