Chelsea have joined the long list of suitors pursuing Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to OK Diario.

Madrid publication AS reported last week that both Atletico Madrid and Arsenal had enquired about the midfielder but it seems that the 22 year old also has the Blues, as well as Manchester City and five other teams looking at signing him.

Llorente had a successful loan spell at Alaves last season but has returned to the Bernabeu this campaign to become part of manager Zinedine Zidane’s first team squad.

The former Spanish Under 21 international is seemingly behind Casemiro in the pecking order at the La Liga champions, and has not started any of the team’s first four competitive matches of the season.

OK Diario say that Zidane has told Llorente he will be given game time this season, but it seems most of his appearances will come as a substitute in the league, as well as starting games in the Copa Del Rey.
