Southampton have placed a €15m (£13.6m) price tag on right back Cedric Soares, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

Chelsea, Juventus and even Barcelona have considered making a move for the Portuguese international this summer, and the Italian newspaper believes the 25 year old could be available for a relatively modest fee.

Soares signed for the Saints from Sporting Lisbon in 2015 for £4.7million but he has quickly grown in stature to become Portugal’s first choice right back under coach Fernando Santos.

The defender started every minute for the national side from the last 16 stage onwards in Portugal’s Euro 2016 triumph, and was part of a defence that conceded just one goal in four matches during the knockout rounds.

The Evening Standard say Chelsea have looked at Soares as a potential signing this summer, but the club are said to be also looking at PSG’s Serge Aurier and Valencia’s Joao Cancelo as other options.
