In addition to casting an eye over former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, German publication SportBild are reporting that Chelsea would consider ex Barcelona coach Luis Enrique as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.

Chelsea have denied that the club are looking for a replacement for the Italian but SportBild say that there is major friction between the Blues boss and director Marina Granovskaia.

Granovskaia acts on behalf of owner Roman Abramovich on all football matters and she is reportedly very unhappy at Conte’s handling of the sale of Diego Costa. The Chelsea director was one of the key architects in securing the Spaniard’s switch to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid in 2014, and the whole situation with the player has caused marked tension between her and the manager.

Tuchel is reportedly the favourite ahead of Enrique for the post if it does become available, despite the latter having won the Champions League with Barca, and the German is said to be interested in the position after leaving Dortmund by mutual consent this summer.
