French club Amiens are hoping to sign midfielder Nathan Allan de Souza from Chelsea on a loan deal today, according to France Football.

The Brazilian joined from Atletico Paranaense for £3.6m in July 2015 after playing just 13 senior games, but he has still to make his debut for Chelsea. He went out on loan to feeder club Vitesse Arnhem immediately after joining the Blues and he has spent the last two seasons playing in the Eredivisie.

In his two years in the Netherlands, the left winger racked up 51 appearances for Vitesse, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. The former Brazilian Under 20 international returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer but with no prospect of first team football, another loan move now looks likely. He will be Chelsea’s 29th player loaned out this season.

Amiens play their football in Ligue One, and so it will no doubt be a step up in quality for Nathan. After three consecutive defeats at the start of the league campaign, they got their first victory in a surprise 3-0 win against Nice at the weekend.
