Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has reiterated the club’s stance that winger Antonio Candreva is not for sale.

Speaking to TV station Mediaset Premium (translated by Football-Italia.net), Ausilio said he was perplexed by the constant speculation linking the Italian international with Chelsea:

“I don’t understand where some of these stories come from, Candreva has never been on the market and we have absolutely no intention of selling him.”

Tuttosport have suggested a possible swap deal between Chelsea and Inter Milan which would see Andrea Christensen joining the Nerazzurri and Candreva moving the other way.

At this point, it seems to be conjecture on the Italian newspaper’s part though, rather than anything more concrete. Another Italian publication the Corriere Dello Sport say that Inter have not received a bid from Chelsea for Candreva and, at this time, manager Luciano Spalletti is happy to keep the player.

Tuttosport also confirm that Inter currently have no desire to sell the Italian international. The Serie A club believe they would find it very hard to replace the 30 year old, and are mindful that they could still lose Ivan Perisic to Manchester United.

As we reported on Wednesday though, things could change if Inter do land Keita Balde Diao from Lazio. The winger is in a tug of war with Inter, AC Milan and Juventus all trying to sign the 22 year old.
