The agent of Inter Milan Antonio Candreva has told Calciomercato.com that the player is unlikely to leave the Serie A club this summer.
Speaking to the Italian website, Federico Pastorello said that the 30 year old has no agreement in place with Chelsea and that he is getting on with new manager Luciano Spalletti:
“Does Candreva have an agreement with Chelsea? He is a cornerstone of Inter and I do not see him leaving. He is getting on very well with Luciano Spalletti.”
Blues boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to recruit another four players before the end of the transfer window. The Daily Telegraph believes that Candreva (a player Conte worked with as Italy coach), along with Alex Sandro, Virgil van Dijk and Fernando Llorente, are the players who Chelsea will look to make bids for.
So far it seems the club have yet to place an offer for Candreva. Speaking last week about the Italian international’s situation, Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed that he believes the Blues’s interest is merely speculation at this point, and that the player will remain at the Giuseppe Meazza next season.
