French newspaper Le Parisien is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi is holding out for a move to the Premier League this summer.

Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for the 30 year old, with the Serie A champions prepared to go as high as €20million (£17.9m) to sign the player, who has just one year remaining on his contract.

Matuidi’s agent will reportedly have a meeting with PSG Sporting Director Antero Henrique this week to ascertain who is interested in signing the French international before the end of the transfer window.

Italian website Calciomercato.com say they believe Chelsea and Arsenal are the main two contenders to sign the midfielder. Blues boss Antonio Conte will be looking to strengthen his midfield after selling Nemanja Matic to Manchester United, and Matuidi could be a suitable replacement.

The Frenchman is just two years older than Matic, and will likely be available for under half the £40m that the Serbian was sold for.
