Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc believes a move to the Chinese Super League is still possible for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before the transfer deadline.

The transfer window for Chinese clubs closes today, but speaking before Dortmund flew out for a pre-season tour to Asia, Zorc told SportBild that things could move quickly. He used Cologne striker Anthony Modeste’s switch to Tianjin Qunajian as an example:

“We’ll see …. The market in China is still 24 hours on. It will be very hectic again in the next 24 hours. That is normal. If you look at the change from Modeste to Tianjin, you should keep up with [news] broadcasts.”

Sky Sports reported on Wednesday that Aubameyang had been offered to Chelsea for £70m as a replacement for Diego Costa. The 28 year old scored 40 goals in all competitions last campaign but he has become unsettled at the Bundesliga side.

Reports in Italy suggest that AC Milan are keen on the Gabon international, while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also been linked with the forward over the past few months. A move to China is looking increasingly unlikely though unless, as Zorc mentions, a last minute deal is made on deadline day,.
