Swansea boss Paul Clement is keen on signing Nathaniel Chalobah, as well as Tammy Abraham, from Chelsea, according to the Mirror.

The imminent arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco has prompted talk that Chalobah will seek a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer after 12 years at the club.

The 22 year old is reportedly in contract talks with the player heading into the final year of his contract, but Swansea may come in with a bid for the midfielder to tempt him with first team football.

Over the past five years, Chalobah has been sent out on loan to six different clubs, but was only given his first team debut for Chelsea last year. Now in his early twenties and nearing the end of his contract, Swansea are hoping he feels it is time to move on.

Clement worked with Chalobah at Chelsea as a coach, and will know the midfielder relatively well. He may use the same connections he had that reportedly sealed Tammy Abraham’s loan switch to the Liberty Stadium.
