Lazio are hoping to sell winger Keita Balde Diao to Chelsea before making a move for FC Rostov’s Sardar Azmoun, according to Il Messaggero (via Football-Italia.net).

Another Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported on Friday that Keita was interesting the Blues with a €20million (£17.8m) fee being suggested. The Spanish born Senegalese international will be available on a free transfer next summer when his contract runs out, but the Serie A side are hoping to sell the player before the end of the summer transfer window.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is seeking €30million for the 22 year old but with the player refusing to sign a new deal, the asking price is likely to come down as the summer goes on with the Italian club not willing to allow the player to leave for nothing next year.

Il Messaggero are reporting that Chelsea have yet to make a bid for the forward and that Lazio’s move for Iranian international Azmoun depends on Keita’s departure from the club.
