Real Betis have pulled out of the running to sign Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, according to Eldesmarques.com.
The Spanish news website reports that Chelsea are demanding too much money for the Croatian international, and that a deal is almost “impossible” considering the gap between the two sides.
They believe Pasalic had verbally agreed to make the switch to Spain, but with the player wanting to have his future resolved as soon as possible, and with Betis failing to come to an agreement with the Blues, the La Liga club will move on to other alternative targets.
There is interest from Serie A side Lazio, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, and Galatasaray have reportedly made a bid for the 22 year old, but it seems the biggest stumbling block to a sale going ahead is Chelsea’s asking price.
ABC Sevilla have reported Chelsea want €10m for the midfielder, but with the player only having a year left on his contract, they may have to lower their demands for a deal to go ahead
