Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is unhappy that the Blues will not sell him for less than £40m (€45m), according to the Corriere Dello Sport. The Italian paper reports he has made an appointment with Blues CEO Marina Granovskaia in order to ask to be allowed to leave for less.

Juventus are reportedly the front runners to sign the 28 year old but the Serie A champions are unwilling to pay Chelsea’s asking price. They believe the Serbian international is not worth that amount due to the fact he has just two years left on his contract.

Matic was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season Asia tour squad, confirming reports that the holding midfielder is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte after the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco at the weekend.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are also said to be interested in Serbian but the Corriere Dello Sport are certain that Juve are the ones that have the advantage in the race.
