Chelsea maintain an interest in signing Monaco right back Djibril Sidibe, according to Le Parisien. The Blues will however face strong opposition from Juventus for the Frenchman’s signature.

The Bianconeri’s interest in Sidibe will likely depend on the outcome of their negotiations for Real Madrid full back Danilo. Antonio Conte’s side have also been linked with a move for the Brazilian  in recent weeks. Spanish newspaper Sport report that Chelsea have had a €22m bid rejected by Real, but a lower offer from the Serie A champions is being considered due to the inclusion of a buyback clause.

Juventus are seeking a replacement for Dani Alves who left on a free transfer with the former Barca star expected to join Manchester City after reportedly rejecting a switch to Chelsea.

It could be the case that whoever lands Danilo will then a leave clear run for the other to sign Sidibe. The French international had an excellent season for the Ligue One champions last campaign, making 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing eight assists.
