Hoffenheim Director of Football Alexander Rosen has confirmed that clubs are interested in signing Germany Under 21 full back Jeremy Toljan.
Bild believe Chelsea, Napoli and RB Leipzig are all looking at the defender and talking to the German tabloid, Rosen confirmed that other clubs are looking at the 22 year old:
“We are aware of the fact that he also arouses interest from top level clubs. “
Toljan’s current deal expires next summer, and Hoffenheim are said to be working hard on getting the player to sign a new contract. Bild believe there are currently three possibilities:
The defender could sign a new contract without a buyout clause. Secondly, he could leave for nothing next season and get a sizeable signing-on fee at his next club, and thirdly, he signs a new deal with a set buyout clause.
Bild report that the third option is the most attractive to both parties. It means that Chelsea may have to move quickly if they want the player this summer, otherwise they may need to activate a release clause to sign the defender.
