Chelsea have offered a “galactic” five year contract to Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish publication reports that Atletico’s signing of Vitolo from Sevilla has prompted the Belgian international to consider his future. The 23 year old does not have the best relationship with manager Diego Simeone, but much like other players, including Antoine Griezmann and Diego Godin, Atleticio were hoping the winger could be persuaded to stay for another year during the club’s transfer ban.

Don Balon report the proposal from Chelsea has prompted Carrasco to reassess his situation, especially in light of Vitolo’s signing. To get around their transfer embargo, Sevilla released Vitolo from his contract and allowed him to join Las Palmas on a free transfer for six months. In January, the winger will join Atletico with the Spanish club paying Sevilla a transfer fee.

Carrasco may see this as a justification for leaving, and it seems his manager Diego Simeone will have to persuade him to stay until at least January.
