Chelsea have enquired about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak in the past two weeks, according to L’Equipe.

The French newspaper reports that the Blues have not followed up their interest in the Polish international, and may have moved on to other targets.

Valencia are believed to be the only team who have indicated they are willing to bid for the 27 year old while Chelsea’s interest is likely due to the departures of Nathaniel Chalobah and Rube Loftus-Cheek which has left manager Antonio Conte light in numbers in the middle of the park.

Krychowiak has found game time limited since following manager Unai Emery from Sevilla to the French capital last summer for £28.5m. He made just 19 appearances in all competitions, making just 11 starts.

Emery has revealed that Krychowiak is surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes, after being unable to adapt to the Ligue One club’s style of play.
