Real Madrid have rejected a €25m (£22m) bid from Chelsea for right back Danilo, according to Sport.
The Catalan newspaper reports that despite the offer from the Blues, Real president Florentino Perez is willing to accept a bid of €5million less from Juventus. This is reportedly due to Juve agreeing to a buyback option in Danilo’s contract.
The La Liga side signed the Brazilian from Porto for €31.5m in 2015, and it looks like they are prepared to take a loss on the player in order to maintain an option to buy him back if he improves in the future. The two clubs had a similar agreement that saw striker Alvaro Morata join Juve in 2014 for €20million before Real opted to buy him back last summer for €30million.
Sport say Danilo’s switch to the Italian club is progressing well with the full back expected to replace Dani Alves, who left the Bianconeri on a free transfer.
