Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to Marca.

The Madrid based newspaper report that the Spanish international’s wages will be approximately €10million a season, which works out at £170,000 a week.

It is believed that Chelsea moved quickly to seal a deal for Morata after finding out that right back Danilo had agreed a switch to Manchester City instead.

The Blues initially proposed an offer close to €75m (£66.4m) but Real have negotiated a €80m (£70.8m) deal for the 24 year old. Antonio Conte reportedly tried to sign him last summer, but it looks as though the Blues have finally got their man.

At the time though, Real were always hot favourites to re-sign the forward. The Spanish giants had included a €30m buyback option in their deal with Juventus when they sold the player to Conte’s old team back in 2014. It looks likely however, his return to the Bernabeu will last just one season.
