Chelsea may yet revive their interest in Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to AS.

The Madrid based newspaper is speculating on why no club has made a move for the Frenchman this summer, and they assert that the Blues, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain could all make a bid for the 28 year old once they have sold certain players.

The Blues are seeking to sell Nemanja Matic this summer, and if the Serbian follows Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek out of the exit door, manager Antonio Conte could be left with very few options in the middle of the park. This could leave an opening to sign the former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder.

Chelsea were linked with N’Zonzi in the January transfer window, while Juventus have been linked with the player as an alternative to Matic. PSG meanwhile are looking to sell Blaise Matuidi who has one year left on his current contract and will not sign a new deal. Once the 30 year old is sold, they may also pursue a move for the Sevilla star, but it seems no bid is imminent from any of the three teams.
