Chelsea and Manchester United are both very interested in Palmeiras centre half Yerry Mina, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish newspaper report one of them has placed a bid of €22m (£19.3m) but it seems their attempts will be vain with Barcelona having already agreed a deal for the Colombian.
The 22 year old already has 10 caps for Colombia and only moved to Brazilian football from Independiente Santa Fe last May. Yet, Mundo Deportivo report that Barca have agreed a €10m fee with Palmeiras, and he will move to the Camp Nou in June next year.
In addition to Chelsea, Real Madrid and Roma have also enquired about Mina, but with the agreement already in place, it seems a switch to Spain will go ahead.
It is quite strange that either Chelsea or United would make a bid though without checking whether the player has already agreed to a move elsewhere so perhaps things are not set in stone as Mundo Deportivo claim.
