Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has turned down a contract offer from Fenerbahce, according to France Football (via Le10 Sport).

The Turkish club have been heavily linked with the Belgian international in recent weeks and it seems they offered a €4m a year contract (approximately £68,000 a week) to persuade the 23 year old to make the switch.

France Football report that Batshuayi is determined to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place in the first team. The forward is currently only one of two senior forwards on the club’s tour of Asia, along with Loic Remy. He may feel he has a chance to impress manager Antonio Conte in pre-season before the imminent arrival of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

It seems as though the Italian is still to be convinced by Batshuayi. The Belgian started just one Premier League game last season. Sky Sports are reporting that Conte is seeking another forward as a backup option, in addition to Morata, which could suggest Batshuayi may be given limited game time once again next campaign.
