Hull City manager Leon Slutsky says he expects some developments on signing a number of loan players from Chelsea in the next few days.
The Russian coach is a friend of Blues owner Roman Abramovich and has been watching Chelsea over the past year since moving to the country to find his first job in English football. He was confirmed as the replacement for Marco Silva at the Kcom stadium last month.
Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail in his first press conference as Tigers boss yesterday, Slutsky confirmed he hopes to be able to announce at least one loan signing from the Blues before they head out to their pre-season training camp in Portugal next week:
“It is possible to loan from Chelsea we are speaking about loan players and maybe we have information before our trip to Portugal.”
Hull’s first team squad are expected to fly out on Monday 10th June so there could be news by the weekend about which players in Chelsea’s youth ranks will be heading North to play in the Championship next season.
