Barcelona are not interested in signing Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. The Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that the 30 year old is not on Barca’s list of transfer targets.
Journalist Angel Perez says that although the La Liga club do want a centre back this summer, they see a move for the Italian international as too expensive and not a realistic option for them.
Bonucci has been long term target for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, and for Real Madrid, but the player looks to be happy to remain in Turin this summer.
A great deal of the speculation surrounding his future was due to his fractious relationship with manager Max Allegri. The pair had a public falling out last season, but Allegri has already spoken out about keeping Bonucci at the club. With the club unwilling to sell, and a player seemingly not determined to leave, it will be a big challenge to land the centre back this summer.
