Representatives of Real Madrid full back Danilo will arrive in England today to begin negotiations with Premier League clubs, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Evening Standard reported yesterday that Chelsea were closing in on a deal for the Brazilian but Tuttomercatoweb believe that Manchester City could yet muscle in on the negotiations.

City Manager Pep Guardiola has already signed one right back in Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur, but he is looking for another player in the same position to provide competition.

Both Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna left the Etihad stadium this summer after their contracts expired so there is room for another right back in the Manchester club’s squad.

However, reports from Brazil on Sunday suggested that Chelsea do have the upper hand in negotiations already. Globoesporte say that Danilo has agreed personal terms with the Blues, but it is now down to the London club to agree a transfer fee with Real.
