The agent of Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has confirmed to De Telegraaf that negotiations are still taking place between PSV Eindhoven and the Blues for the Dutch international’s transfer back to the Netherlands.

The Dutch newspaper say that Karel Jansen has told them that PSV are still trying to agree terms with Chelsea’s about a permanent transfer for the 24 year old.

Van Ginkel has spent two six month loan spells with the Eredivisie side over the past two years, scoring an impressive 15 goals in 31 appearances in the process.

The Evening Standard reported at the end of last month that Chelsea are looking for a minimum of £10m for the midfielder; a figure that is likely to be well out of PSV’s price range.

With that being the case, discussions may continue to drag on with De Telegraaf reporting talks could even continue until the end of the transfer window on 31st August.
