Juventus will make an approach for Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi very soon, according to Calciomercato.com.

The 23 year old has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, Inter Milan and Manchester United in recent months but it seems Juve are looking to steal a march on their rivals.

Just over a week ago, Tuttosport reported that Juve were interested in the midfielder but had made the Italian international a backup option in case they failed to land Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa.

With Costa seemingly on the verge of a €40m switch to the Bianconeri, it’s surprising that Juve not only maintain an interest in Bernardeschi but are actively moving ahead to try and sign the winger.

Calciomercato report that the Serie A champions will offer €40million (£35.2m), and will then enter into formal dialogue with Fiorentina in order to seal a deal for the Italian.

Bernardeschi had a very impressive campaign for the Viola, making 42 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions last season.
