Galatasaray have made a €2.5million (£2.2m) bid for Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, according to Milliyet.

The Turkish newspaper report that Galatasaray’s manager Igor Tudor is a big fan of his fellow countryman and would like the Croatian international to join him at the Super Lig club.

Pasalic joined Chelsea from Hajduk Split for just over £2m in July 2014, but he has never played for the Blues. He was loaned out straight away to Spanish club Elche before he went on two further season long loan spells at Monaco in the 2015/16 season and AC Milan last campaign.

For the Rossoneri, the midfielder played 27 times, making 20 starts in all competitions, and scoring five goals. The Serie A side are not planning to keep the 22 year old, and it seems Galatasaray are the front runners to secure the player’s signature.

Pasalic has just one year remaining on his current deal at Chelsea, and the Blues will not be losing any money if they accept Galatasaray’s bid. The club may however feel he is worth more now than when he was signed three years ago after playing at the top level in Spain, France and Italy.
