Three French clubs are chasing a deal for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to Foot-Sur7.fr.

The French website report that Marseille, Nice and Lyon are all battling to sign the 22 year old this summer. The centre half missed the first four months of last season with a cruciate knee ligament injury, but he also struggled for game time under Antonio Conte after his return to fitness.

The French international is said to be clamouring for more game time next season after making just seven starts for the Blues in all competitions last campaign.

Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-Etienne in January 2014 for £12million but despite his promise, he has managed to play just 47 Premier League games in three seasons at Stamford Bridge.

With manager Antonio Conte actively seeking to strengthen his centre back options this summer, it seems that Zouma is once again unlikely to figure prominently for the club next season. A loan deal is the likeliest outcome for the Frenchman but as of yet there have been no official bids from any club.
